About the Project
Mountain Peak Energy Storage (Mountain Peak) is a planned 350 MW / 1400 MWh battery energy storage facility. It is ideally located on approximately 12 acres in Saline County, Kansas, at an entry point to Evergy’s existing electric transmission lines and poles. This critical grid infrastructure project will provide capacity and energy services to the regional electrical grid in Kansas, enhancing grid reliability, making the transmission grid more efficient, and accelerating the integration of advanced generation energy resources.
